Dear Friends and Colleagues in Christ,
I sincerely thank you for your kind and generous offering from the September Presbytery meeting to the Sunday Supper Ministry at First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant. Sunday Supper is in its twelfth year of ministry and for about eleven years, our number of guests has remained fairly consistent, however, since the summer of 2025 the number of guests and the number of families being served has dramatically increased. An end of the month number for us used to be around 150, but now that is the smallest number of guests we expect throughout the month, and we served 280 and 260 at the end of the last two months. I shudder to think what will happen if SNAP benefits end.
Your offering has helped us continue to supply the drinks and incidentals that First Covenant provides each week. This ministry survives and thrives because many churches provide food and volunteers to serve the meal on a particular Sunday. Many thanks to those who already participate.
