Recommended allowances for pulpit supplies:
One Service: $125 plus roundtrip mileage at the current IRS rate. (.70/mile in 2025)
Two Services: $175 plus roundtrip mileage at the current IRS rate. (.70/mile in 2025)
*When a Moderator of Session is employed the church is expected to pay $50 for moderating a congregational meeting or officiating a sacrament, $75 for moderating a meeting of session, plus roundtrip mileage. If more is expected by the Moderator (visitation, counseling of church members, etc.) it is expected that additional compensation would be provided at a mutually agreeable rate.
